Washington Wizards Sign Recent 76ers Player

Michael Foster Jr. is coming off his rookie year in the NBA, where he appeared in one game for the Philadelphia 76ers.
This summer, the 20-year-old became a free agent, and it's now been announced that he has signed a deal with the Washington Wizards (h/t Hoops Rumors).
Via The Wizards: "Official: We have signed Michael Foster Jr. to an Exhibit 10 contract. We have also waived Chase Audige."

Foster Jr. initially went undrafted in 2022 after one season playing for G League Ignite.
During that year, he averaged 14.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 blocks per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field in 14 Showcase Cup games (he also appeared in 12 Exhibition games).

In addition to his one game with the 76ers last year, he also played in the G League for the Delaware Blue Coats.
Over 27 regular season games, Foster Jr. averaged 13.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.1 blocks per contest while shooting 52.3% from the field (he also appeared in 14 Showcase Cup games and four G League playoff games).

Meanwhile, the Wizards are coming off a season where they were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record.
They missed the NBA playoffs (and the play-in tournament) for the second straight season.
The team will look much different this year, as they traded away Bradley Beal (Phoenix Suns) and Kristaps Porzingis (Boston Celtics) over the offseason.
