Zion Williamson's Incredible Alley-Oop Is Going Viral In Jazz-Pelicans Game
On Tuesday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans are playing the Utah Jazz (at home in Louisiana).
During the game, Zion Williamson had an enormous highlight that went viral on social media.
The 2021 NBA All-Star caught an alley-oop and finished off the dunk with one hand.
Williamson is one of the most exciting players in the NBA and entered the evening with averages of 22.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 58.8% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 35 games.
The Pelicans are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 25-18 record in their first 43 games.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns (at home) by a score of 123-109.
In 33 minutes of playing time, Williamson had 24 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block while shooting 11/17 from the field and 1/1 from the three-point range.
Following the Jazz, the Pelicans will remain at home to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday evening.
Williamson was the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft out of Duke, and while he has dealt with injuries over the previous few seasons, he has been able to play in most of the team's games so far this year.
His career averages are 24.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest while shooting 60.1% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range in 149 regular season games.
