The game was close, but the Pelicans were able to win by a score of 112-104.
Two-time NBA All-Star Zion Williamson led the way with 34 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block while shooting 14/21 from the field and 35 minutes of playing time.
During the third quarter, Williamson had an incredible highlight that got a lot of views on social media.
The former Duke superstar went down the court in 3.5 seconds and finished off a layup before the buzzer sounded.
Williamson is having another productive season with averages of 22.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest while shooting 58.0% from the field and 35.7% from the three-point range in 55 games.
With the victory, the Pelicans improved to 40-26 in 66 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games and are 19-13 in the 32 games they have played on their home floor.
Following the Clippers, the Pelicans will play their next game on Saturday evening when they host the Portland Trail Blazers in New Orleans.
As for the Clippers, they dropped to 42-24 in 66 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference.
