BREAKING: Zion Williamson's Final Injury Status For Spurs-Pelicans Game

On Friday evening, the New Orleans Pelicans will host Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

For the game, they will be without one of their best players, as two-time NBA All-Star Zion Williamson has been ruled out.

Via The Pelicans: "Zion Williamson (left finger contusion) is out tonight vs. San Antonio"

Williamson has had another productive season with averages of 22.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 58.1% from the field and 35.7% from the three-point range in 65 games.

The Pelicans are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 45-31 record in 76 games.

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Pelicans lost to the Orlando Magic (at home) by a score of 117-108.

Williamson had 15 points, two rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block while shooting 7/16 from the field in 29 minutes of playing time.

Following their matchup with San Antonio, the Pelicans will play their next game on Sunday when they visit Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.

As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with an 18-58 record in 76 games.

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Following New Orleans, the Spurs will play their next game on Sunday evening when they host the Philadelphia 76ers in San Antonio.
