Update: Warriors Are Reportedly Working Out This Former Star Player

According to The Athletic's Anthony Slater and Shams Charania, the Golden State Warriors will work out former Rookie of The Year Tyreke Evans.

Update: Mark Haynes of Clutch Points reports that the workout took place on Wednesday. 

Free-agent guard Tyreke Evans, who was reinstated after a two-year ban, worked out for the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, league sources tell @ClutchPointsApp.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania and Anthony Slater, the Golden State Warriors will bring in Tyreke Evans for a workout this week.

The Golden State Warriors are meeting and working out free agent Tyreke Evans in the Bay Area this week, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. The 10-year NBA vet was recently reinstated after a three-year suspension and has visited the Bucks too.

Charania adds that Evans also visited the Milwaukee Bucks. 

The 2010 Rookie of The Year had spent the last few seasons out of the NBA after being suspended for a banned substance. 

Tyreke Evans has been reinstated by the NBA after being disqualified since May 17, 2019 for testing positive for a prohibited substance.

He last played for the Pacers, averaging 10.2 points on 39% shooting. He’s an UFA and may sign with a team beginning at noon on Fri., Feb. 18.

He's now been reinstated, and is a free agent where he can sign with any team. 

Over his career, he has played for the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and most recently, the Indiana Pacers.   

The 32-year-old has career averages of 15.7 points, 4.6 rebonds and 4.8 assists per game.

The Warriors are 45-22 in 67 games, which has them as the third seed in the Western Conference.
