Milwaukee Bucks Reportedly Interested In Former NBA First-Round Pick?

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Milwaukee Bucks were one of the teams in attendance at a workout for Harry Giles.

Harry Giles was ranked (by ESPN) as the best high school player in the country for the class of 2016.

After one season at Duke, he was the 20th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.

Giles hasn't played in the league since the 2020-21 season, but he recently held a workout for teams Las Vegas, and Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that the Milwaukee Bucks were one of the teams in attendance.

Via Scotto's article on HoopsHype: "Among those who sent representatives to attend the workout included the Pistons, Cavaliers, Knicks, Bucks, and Timberwolves, league sources told HoopsHype."

Giles has played for the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers during his time in the NBA.

His career averages are 5.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 51.1% from the field in 142 regular season games (he has also appeared in one NBA playoff game).

At a young age, Giles was seen as a potential star, but unfortunately, he has dealt with injuries over his playing career since high school

During his time in the NBA, Giles has been a solid role player, and he is only 25 years old.

Therefore, the veteran forward could be a good player to take a chance on going into training camp.

A team like the Bucks would be a good fit because they already have an elite roster and would only need Giles for depth off the bench.

Last year, the Bucks were the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 58-24 record.
