New York Knicks Reportedly Have Trade Interest In Recent NBA All-Star
The 2024 NBA trade deadline is in less than two months, so teams around the league will likely be having talks about potential deals.
Recently, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported several updates about things he has been hearing (his full article can be read here).
Scotto mentioned that the Knicks have a level of interest in Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray.
Via Scotto's article on HoopsHype: "The Knicks are among several teams who’ve expressed exploratory trade interest in Hawks guard Dejounte Murray, league sources told HoopsHype."
Murray is in his second season with the Hawks and is currently averaging 20.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 37.4% from the three-point range in 27 games.
The 2022 NBA All-Star was the 29th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft and has also played five seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
Currently, the Hawks are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 12-15 record in their first 27 games.
As for the Knicks, they are 16-11 in their first 27 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
The franchise has made the NBA playoffs in two of the previous three seasons and is coming off a year where they won their first playoff series since 2013.
On Saturday afternoon, the Knicks will play their next game when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.
