Philadelphia 76ers Player Reportedly On The Trading Block
The NBA trading deadline is in less than three weeks, so rumors around the league continue to heat up.
Right now, the Philadelphia 76ers are one of the best teams in the NBA, and came into Monday's matchup with the San Antonio Spurs as the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 28-13 record in 41 games.
However, Kenyon Martin Jr. has not been getting a lot of playing time (two minutes over the previous three games).
According to Marc Stein of The SteinLine, the 76ers are open to moving the 23-year-old in a trade.
Via Stein's Substack article: "Philadelphia swingman K.J. Martin has been made available in advance of the trade deadline, league sources tell The Stein Line."
Martin Jr. was the 52nd pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and is in his fourth season in the league.
He had spent the previous three seasons with the Houston Rockets before getting traded to the Los Angeles Clippers over the offseason.
After two games with the Clippers, he was moved to the 76ers.
The former IMG Academy star is currently averaging 1.8 points per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field in 27 total games this season.
The 76ers are coming off a season where they lost in the second round of the NBA playoffs, but they have one of the most talented rosters in the league led by 2023 MVP Joel Embiid.
If Martin Jr. gets moved, he would be an ideal fit for a rebuilding team looking to develop talent.
