Welcome to AUTO RACING DIGEST!
Ladies and Gentleman, start your engines … and welcome to AUTO RACING DIGEST, an affiliate of Sports Illustrated’s FanNation.com.
AUTO RACING DIGEST – or as we like to call it ARD, for short – will keep auto racing fans on the lead lap of several series, including NASCAR, IndyCar and NHRA Drag Racing, as well as occasional dives into Formula One, IMSA and other racing leagues.
We plan on not only telling you the who, what, when, where, why and how of the big stories, but also will focus on telling you stories that other sites either overlook or miss entirely.
We’re starting small, but will build quickly. We are particularly looking for young, aspiring writers who are like the readership base we intend to serve, namely, gearheads and fans of fast. So if you’re a young writer who is looking for a break in the world of motorsports journalism, please reach out to us at AutoRacingDigest@Gmail.com.
Likewise, if you currently work in the motorsports community – particularly if you work in media, public relations and social media – and want to get the news and messages of your team or organization across to us, please send along press releases, notes and the like. Heck, even if you just want to say 'hi' or wish us good luck, we'd love to hear from you!
Sports Illustrated has essentially given us a blank canvas to build a key and significant website, and that’s exactly what we intend on doing. We will be sharing news, features and opinion/analysis, as well as polls and your comments to get your take on all things motorsports, as well.
We have lots of future plans and will roll those out in time, including videos, podcasts, car reviews/road tests and more.
Because we are starting with a small staff, we may not always be first when it comes to breaking news. But we also have a philosophy: it’s better to be right first rather than be first and ultimately not right.
So drop the green flag and don’t forget to bookmark the site, follow us on Twitter @AutoRaceDigest and email us at AutoRacingDigest@Gmail.com.
