NHRA's John Force makes it VERY clear: 'I'm NOT gettin' out!' of his race car

Legendary drag racer John Force made it very clear at Las Vegas this weekend that "I'm not gettin' out" of his Funny Car.

Speculation and criticism on social media blasted Force for his crash with J.R. Todd last week in Pomona, California.

It certainly was uncharacteristic of Force, as he crossed the center line, got behind and then on the left side of Todd before the two cars made contact. Force made an abrupt turn to the right after deploying his parachutes and the cords tangled up Todd's car, taking him along for the ride, helpless to do anything, as Force crashed head-on into the wall.

There's been a lot said over the last week since that incident of whether Force still has it (editor's note: he does!).

Here's Force's adamant statement that he's not going anywhere. That means no retirement, no slowing down, nothing. Yes, he turns 74 in less than a month, but this is John Force. He will get over the miscue ... and there's no better way to do that than to win more races and capture that elusive 17th NHRA Funny Car championship.

Force isn't going anywhere, any time soon -- except to victory lane!
