In an interview between Sports Illustrated's Alex Harrington (@alexdoesF1) and Alex Albon ahead of the Miami Grand Prix race weekend, the Williams driver admitted that the track wouldn't suit the Williams. While he's staying optimistic, he's not hiding the fact that this is going to be a difficult weekend for him and his teammate Logan Sargeant.

Discussing the layout of the track, he admitted:

"If you were to design a circuit that doesn't suit us, this would be one of them," he admitted from across the table. "It really doesn't really pay into our favours, but confusingly last year, it still was a good check for us, so we kind of put that in the bin.

Last year the British-Thai driver finished P9 on the Sunday. It was a lucky weekend for him with a few DNFs in front of his Williams car, but the driver maximised the opportunity and reaped the rewards.

This year, he's going into the weekend with confidence. A couple of unlucky DNFs have left with him few points, but overall he and his car have shown great potential, especially in Australia.

"Coming into this weekend I don't really know what to expect but for sure the car's in a better position than it was last year," he continued.

"We are more in the midfield than we were last year. So, let's see, McLaren, Alpine, they've all brought upgrades very recently in Baku. And so it is gonna be harder for us. We don't have any upgrades coming in the next couple of races. So we just need to do the best job we can and optimise the car we've got."

Friday's FP1 saw the driver finish 15th on the timesheet, with FP2 showing better results on a cooler track with him finishing P10. He'll be going into the Saturday wanting to perfect the setup of the car, but with a 60% chance of rain on the Sunday, nothing is impossible.
