Both Alpine's are out of the Australian Grand Prix with just two laps to go, causing the third red flag of the session.

Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly took each other out in the dramatic and chaotic restart of the Australian Grand Prix.

Both Gasly and Ocon were having fantastic races in the mid-top ten.

It is yet to be determined whether the race will be restarting, again. However, Alpine were not the only team to suffer from the restart with Fernando Alonso being knocked by Carlos Sainz putting him to the back of the grid, Sergio Perez ran off the track as well as Lance Stroll.

On top of this, Logan Sargeant in the Williams collided with Nyck de Vries in the AlphaTauri.

If the race does not resume, Sainz could be facing a penalty for the collision with Alonso.

Update

Carlos Sainz has been handed a five-second penalty for the collision with Fernando Alonso.
