Max Verstappen won the Austrian Grand Prix after the chaotic race at the Red Bull Ring, followed by Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez.

The dramatic race saw Nico Hulkenberg forced to retire after encountering power unit issues. 

Track limits continued to be a problem for a lot of the drivers with five-second penalties being handed out left, right, and centre. Lewis Hamilton, Alex Albon, Carlos Sainz, and Yuki Tsunoda are just some of the drivers who were handed penalties.

  • Nyck de Vries - 5 seconds for forcing Kevin Magnussen off.
  • Lewis Hamilton - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
  • Yuki Tsunoda - 10 seconds for exceeding track limits (two 5 second penalties)
  • Carlos Sainz - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
  • Alex Albon - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
  • Esteban Ocon - 5 seconds for an unsafe release in the pit lane.
  • Logan Sargeant - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
  • Pierre Gasly - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
  • Kevin Magnussen - 5 seconds for exceeding track limits.
