The second free practice session for the British Grand Prix has now come to a close.

Max Verstappen put in the fastest time on the board, followed by Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon who put in the second and third fastest times, respectively.

There was bad news from the Ferrari garage as they confirmed that Charles Leclerc would not be coming out of the garage for the session. The Maranello-based squad were investigating an electrical issue on his SF-23.

Grip continued to be a complaint for many of the drivers, including George Russell.

The session managed to run fairly smoothly without any major mishaps, giving the teams and drivers the opportunity to get multiple laps down with different set ups. The weather also remained dry and warm, whereas, there is a possibility of rain during the qualifying session tomorrow. Nyck de Vries ran over debris at the end of the session picking up a puncture to his front right tyre but managed to get back to the garage.

Williams have had a great start to the British Grand Prix weekend with Alex Albon putting in the third fastest times during both FP1 and FP2 and Logan Sargeant put in seventeenth fastest and fifth fastest time during FP1 and FP2, respectively.
