Charles Leclerc has begged fans to "respect my privacy" as his home address has been leaked online. Fans have been showing up at his property, ringing his door bell and asking for photos, signatures, and general responses from the driver, but via a post on Instagram, the driver has rightly asked them to let him live a personal life.

Charles Leclerc, Ferrari's talented driver, has experienced a turbulent beginning to the 2023 Formula 1 season. With two retirements in the first three races, the 25-year-old Monegasque driver finds himself lagging behind his rivals. A power unit failure in Bahrain, followed by a seventh-place finish in Saudi Arabia, set the stage for a disappointing race in Australia. Leclerc's woes were exacerbated by a first-lap incident with Lance Stroll at the Albert Park Circuit, which sent him spinning into the gravel.

Although Stroll's contact with Leclerc's right-rear tire can be considered a racing incident, it did little to alleviate Leclerc's frustration. With just six points to his name so far this season, he trails championship leader Max Verstappen by a staggering 63 points.

Off-Track Troubles: Fans Invading Leclerc's Privacy

His racing career has taken a hit thanks to this bad luck so far, and with him likely down on confidence, a new issue has presented itself to the Monogasque which likely won't be helping.

His home address was leaked to the public, leading to a constant stream of fans showing up at his doorstep, seeking pictures and autographs. Determined to reclaim his privacy, the young driver took to Instagram to address the issue.

A Heartfelt Message to Fans

Leclerc's Instagram post read:

"Hey everyone, for the past few months, my home address has somehow become public, leading to people gathering beneath my apartment, ringing my doorbell, and asking for pictures and autographs. While I'm always happy to be there for you and I truly appreciate your support, please respect my privacy and refrain from coming to my house. I'll make sure to stop for everyone when you see me on the streets or at the track, but I won't be coming downstairs if you visit my home."

A Silver Lining Amidst the Chaos

Despite the challenges he's faced in 2023, Leclerc can find solace in the fact that four individuals were arrested in Italy in connection to his stolen watch from last year's Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. A small victory, at least.

Leclerc's Easter Reminder: Respect Boundaries

Leclerc concluded his message to fans by emphasizing the importance of respecting his boundaries, stating:

"Your support, both in person and on social media, means the world to me, but there is a boundary that should not be crossed. Happy Easter, everyone."
