It seems like there's a bit of a disagreement brewing at Red Bull, with team boss Christian Horner disagreeing with recent statements made by driver Sergio Perez. The Mexican racer had claimed that the team had been all about one car before his arrival amid rumours that the current car is tailored to Max Verstappen, but Horner was quick to set the record straight.

Perez had been talking about how comfortable he feels at Red Bull, especially after his recent victory in Saudi Arabia. He mentioned that it's now clear within the team what he can do and that the team is finally running at full strength with two drivers. But Horner wasn't having any of it.

During a press conference in Melbourne ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Horner expressed his surprise at Perez's comments, saying:

"That's the first time I've heard him saying that.

"We've always run two cars since we entered the sport in 2005, and we always want to have the best two drivers that we can in the car."

Horner went on to point out that Red Bull has always strived to give both of its drivers the best opportunity and the best equipment possible. He continued:

"That's whether it's Max [Verstappen] and Checo [Sergio Perez] or Daniel [Ricciardo] and Max or Daniel and Seb [Vettel] or Mark [Webber] and Seb or even going back to David Coulthard and Mark Webber.

"That's the way we've always rolled."

Despite his initial surprise, Horner did acknowledge that Perez has been doing a great job with the team lately. He also noted that the Mexican driver has grown a lot since his difficult start with the team.

It's clear that there's a lot of passion and pride at Red Bull, with both Horner, Perez, and Verstappen wanting the team to succeed. While there may be some friction between the drivers here and there, there is no denying they have already shown a fantastic performance in the first two races of the year with two 1-2 finishes.
