Dilano van 'T Hoff's partner has shared a heartbreaking message to social media after the 18-year-old driver's tragic death. 

Saturday was a horrific day for the motorsport world as news broke of van 'T Hoff's death during a race at the Spa Francorchamps circuit in Belgium for the Formula Regional European Championship.

Tributes came flooding in from those within the motorsport community as well as many calling for the FIA to make changes to the circuit, including Aston Martin F1 driver Lance Stroll. 

Now, van 'T Hoff's partner, Katrina Coronell, has posted to social media with an emotional goodbye message. She posted:

"My dear, thank you for everything you’ve done for me, for showing me your world. You really were the best boyfriend, best friend and inspiration.

"You stayed strong fighting till the end. I’m grateful for you loving me until the end, i’m grateful that my last words for you on the grid were “i love you” and i’m grateful that you fulfilled your promise telling me that you’ll love me till death.

"You will always have a special place in my heart and you really made me and others proud. I will never forget you and your smile.

"Goodbye my beautiful man, i’ll see you in the next life my angel. I love you. Rest in peace Dilano Van’t Hoff, you’ll always be a champion in our hearts"

Many other fans shared their tributes and condolences for the family. One fan posted to Reddit, writing:

"Absolute travesty. So young too. Such a shame. Cannot imagine her pain right now. RIP."

Another fan commented:

"Heartbreaking message to read. All the strength in the world goes to the family, friends and loved ones Dilano leaves behind."
