F1 fans are gearing up for the highly-anticipated racing return of Daniel Ricciardo at the upcoming Hungarian Grand Prix

Red Bull made the decision last week to drop Nyck de Vries, after just ten races of his rookie season, and have replaced the Dutch driver with Daniel Ricciardo. The eight-time grand prix winner lost his seat with McLaren at the end of the 2022 season and as time went on with no announcements, it became clear that he hadn't found a suitable permanent seat for 2023.

It was later confirmed that Red Bull had signed Ricciardo as a third driver for 2023. Although he had remained adamant that he was keen on rejoining the grid, no one thought it would happen this soon.

As the F1 teams and drivers are getting ready for the Hungarian Grand Prix, fans have been sharing their excitement to social media as photos of Ricciardo's garage have been posted to social media

One fan commented that they had missed seeing Ricciardo's name and photo above a garage. They wrote:

Another fan commented that they are hopeful the Australian driver will be able to show the true performance of the AlphaTauri. Although Ricciardo is a very experienced driver, the AT04 is clearly one of the slowest on the grid so far this season. The team is currently running in tenth position with just two points behind Alfa Romeo in ninth with nine points. The fan wrote:

"I'm stoked for him to be back just because Yuki [Tsunoda] will finally have a decent team mate to compare him with; I'm kinda hoping that the car is better than Nyck [de Vries] made it look."
