Alfa Romeo have shared some of their favourite moments with Frederic Vasseur on his last day with the team before he moves to Ferrari, with a selection of hilarious photos of the team principal.

It was announced after the 2022 season came to a close in Abu Dhabi that Mattia Binotto would be stepping away from his role as Ferrari team principal and we later found out Vasseur is set to take his place.

Former McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl is moving to Sauber to take up Vasseur's previous position and Andrea Stella is stepping up from within McLaren to be the team chief.

Today marks Vasseur's last day with the Sauber/Alfa Romeo team and they have shared some of their favourite moments on social media. The team wrote along with some photos:

"We take a look back at some of our favourite moments with Fred, on his last day at Sauber. Good luck on your next chapter! We’ll see you in the paddock"

Vasseur will be reuniting with Charles Leclerc at Ferrari. Leclerc made his F1 debut with Sauber in 2018 when Vasseur was the team principal at the time. Leclerc had a difficult 2022 which started on a high but then the team started to experience issues with the car and strategical errors. Many are of the opinion that Vasseur joining Ferrari will be a good thing for Leclerc.

The upcoming 2023 season will be kicking off with the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday 5th March with the pre-season testing the week before then and fans are already on the countdown for this.

As well as the start of the 2023 season, fans are also eagerly waiting for the release of the next season of Netflix's Drive To Survive to re-live the on-track and behind-the-scenes drama from last year. No release date has been confirmed yet but it is anticipated to be just before the 2023 season kicks off.
