Alfa Romeo has done something very different ahead of their 2023 car launch on 7 February. The Switzerland-based team has partnered up with a world-renowned graffiti artist to auction off a one-off Alfa Romeo F1 car.

The team revealed the 'Art Car' in the Swiss Alps and social media. The team wrote:

"Introducing Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake x BOOGIE: The 'Art Car' collab" [sic]

The car will go up for auction at the end of the year in order to raise money for Save The Children. However, before the year is up the car will be presented at various different events including the Global Gaming Hub at London ExCel between 7-9 February. On top of this, Alfa Romeo partner JigSpace will have a 3D virtual reality model of the car available.

Alessandro Alunni Bravi, Alfa Romeo team representative, has spoken about the latest collaboration in a statement. They explained:

“We are proud to bring this project to life together with an incredible artist such as BOOGIE.

“He is like us, the embodiment of talent who came to call Switzerland home and evolved a unique style and way of doing things.

“Like BOOGIE, we are not afraid to challenge the way things are done and the Art Car project is the best example of this. Most importantly, we don’t want the Art Car to remain closed in our HQ: it’s a project for our community, for our fans, to get closer to the team.”

Alfa Romeo will be revealing their 2023 C43 at an event in Zurich next Tuesday 7 February. Haas released the VF-23 livery today and the next important F1 date is Friday 3 February when Red Bull will be releasing the RB19 in New York City.
