Aston Martin's latest Formula 1 challenger, the AMR24, made its track debut at Silverstone, fresh off its global unveiling. This momentous occasion saw Lance Stroll steering the new vehicle around the track, a stone's throw from the team's base, symbolising a promising start to the car's journey ahead of the 2024 season.

The adjustment in regulations, doubling permissible filming days to 200km, has provided Aston Martin with a golden opportunity to rigorously test the AMR24 right out of the gate. This extended track time is pivotal for the team as they seek to build upon their previous achievements. Last year, the team clinched fifth in the Constructors' Championship, with Fernando Alonso securing all eight of the team's podiums, setting a solid foundation for the AMR24 to propel the team into more competitive positions.

Following the car's launch, Aston Martin took to social media to share a glimpse of the AMR24's maiden voyage out of the pit lane, a moment that resonated with excitement and anticipation among fans and team members. Stroll's initial feedback was overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the collective effort and dedication that went into the car's development over the winter. "It felt good, the car looks good, and I can't wait to get back out there," Stroll remarked.

Dan Fallows, the team's Technical Director, shed light on the strategic enhancements made to the AMR24. Fallows commented:

“The chassis design is new, as well as the nose, front wing, front suspension and rear suspension. We want to compete in the development race this season and this car is designed to do just that.

“Another area of focus has been to broaden the car’s operating window. We have focused on more versatility for a wider range of specific circuit characteristics.

“We want a race car that is more of an all-rounder. We believe the AMR24 provides the ideal platform for in-season development and a sustained season-long challenge.”
