It's been a dramatic post race of the Austrian Grand Prix as it was confirmed that more penalties were being given to drivers after Aston Martin complained that not all track limit infringements were counted. Well, they asked and we received as the FIA have just released a document with more penalties.

We were first given the number of deleted laps of drivers, but this data was skewed due to the fact that both the current and next lap time would be deleted if the track limits were broken on the final corner.

Now, we have confirmation of the 12 additional time penalties, and they are as follows.

The standout is certainly Alpine's Esteban Ocon, who has received a 30 second penalty post-race. But the new top 10 results look like this.

  1. Verstappen
  2. Leclerc
  3. Perez
  4. Norris (up 1)
  5. Alonso (up 1)
  6. Sainz (down 2)
  7. Russell (up 1)
  8. Hamilton (down 1)
  9. Stroll (up 1)
  10. Gasly (down 1)
  11. Albon
  12. Guanyu
  13. Sargeant
  14. Ocon
  15. Bottas
  16. Piastri
  17. de Vries
  18. Magnussen
  19. Tsunoda
  20. Hulkenberg (DNF)

It's highly likely that these new penalties will be appealed, as teams will argue that if they'd known during the race, they'd have changed their strategy to suit.

More updates coming soon.
