Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz found himself in an unexpected situation during a charity match earlier this week. The racer had a mishap which resulted in a slight injury to his upper leg. This news had fans on the edge of their seats, concerned about the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. Now, the Spaniard has updated fans with good news ahead of the racing weekend.

In photos that found their way onto social media, his leg was secured with medical tape. The exact severity and possible long-term effects of the injury were shrouded in uncertainty. With the Monaco race weekend looming, and starting on Friday, the burning question remained - could Sainz bring his usual top-tier performance despite this setback?

Only moments ago, he set the record straight:

"Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that I am well and completely ready to race this weekend in Monaco," he posted. "What happened yesterday was simply a contact during the traditional charity football match, but it was not an injury.

"I enjoyed playing football as I always do and now I am really looking forward to the weekend. "

Holding the fifth spot in the world championship rankings, Sainz has been an influential figure in the racing arena this year and last beside his teammate Charles Leclerc. With the Monaco Grand Prix known for its challenging nature, even a minor injury could affect his race

However, in a moment of relief for his fans and the Ferrari team, Carlos Sainz's update has put worries to rest.
