F1 News: Charles Leclerc Crash - Out Of Dramatic Dutch GP Qualifying

Charles Leclerc is out of the Dutch GP qualifying.

Charles Leclerc is out of the Dutch GP Qualifying session after understeering off the track at Turn 9 and colliding with the race wall. Thankfully, the Ferrari driver was able to get out of the car quickly and walk away from the accident.

After taking his fourth gearbox of the season this weekend, the worry for the Ferrari team will be if there is damage to that. Drivers are allocated four gearboxes in a season so if this needs to be replaced again, the Monegasque driver will face receiving a penalty.

Another red flag was put on the session after the collision with four minutes to go. Williams driver Logan Sargeant had also crashed into the race wall during Q3 just two minutes into the session so the remaining drivers are dealing with a disrupted session.

Ferrari will now be relying on Leclerc's teammate Carlos Sainz to get as far up the timesheets as possible. The Spanish driver is currently in tenth position so he will have four minutes to turn things around.
