F1 News: Christian Horner Sets Social Media On Fire With Hilarious Photo After Italian GP

Christian Horner resembles the little girl with the burning house meme.

For Red Bull, the Italian Grand Prix was not very different from the other Grand Prix in the recent past. With a usual victory that the team has gotten used to, team principal Christian Horner has had the perfect ending to the event- a savage selfie before the Tifosi as he sported a grin.

The race at Monza was eventful and exciting as F1 cars indulged in the wheel-to-wheel essence of racing. However, the tight battles weren't just restricted to the cars in the middle of the pack. The first 14 laps saw race leader Carlos Sainz defend the first position before Max Verstappen overtook to break the record of ten consecutive race victories.

Teammate Sergio Perez wasn't too far behind either as he managed to overtake Sainz and earn second place. With all the boos Verstappen received from the Tifosi ahead of the GP in Monza, it was payback time for Horner as the Ferraris failed to secure the top position.

Rather conveniently, Horner paid it back fully with a grin as he shot a selfie with the Tifosi in the background. From the looks of it, he might be enjoying that moment more than anybody else. If you think about it, the selfie could also be a reply to Nico Rosberg who has gained a reputation for jinxing teams with his selfies.

One of the several examples dates back to the Hungarian GP where Rosberg clicked a selfie in front of Verstappen's garage before the qualifying session. Supposedly, that became the reason for Verstappen's failure to secure his eighth consecutive pole of the season.

While all this may sound a bit too much, several fans have been attributing a significant amount of importance to the supposed bad omen. Right before the Italian GP, Rosberg clicked a selfie and in the background, one can spot the grid and the teams lined up on the pit wall, the nearest being Red Bull Racing.

Maybe, Horner's selfie was just not a subtle grin at the Tifosi but also a reply to Rosberg that his spell hadn't worked this time. Well played, Horner!
