It's been nearly two months since AlphaTauri driver Daniel Ricciardo has been missing in action on the track. But now that he is set to make a comeback this weekend in Austin for the United States Grand Prix, he might be in for a surprise when he sees his name misspelt on the signage above his team garage.

Ricciardo had been undergoing physiotherapy after his Dutch GP qualifying crash that left him with a broken left wrist. Red Bull reserve driver Liam Lawson was pressed into action to take over the wheel of his AT04 F1 car.

Fans are eager to witness the Australian F1 driver back in his Formula 1 car, which happens this weekend. But funnily, the signage misspelt his name and an image of that has been circulating on social media.

Fans pointed out that Ricciardo's return was met with some embarrassment as a result of the error. The post was shared to social media:

There have been quite a few errors on signages this season. I can recall the error pertaining to Carlos Sainz on the banner that printed his name twice, making it seem like he was both of the Ferrari drivers.

In addition, another signage goof-up in Austin includes a poster of all F1 drivers. But, in place of Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll, the designers replaced him with reserve driver Felipe Drugovich, thus sparking rumors of his replacement.

Here are a few reactions from fans on the silly signage saga:
