F1 News: Fernando Alonso And Lance Stroll To Start Austin GP From Pit Lane
Aston Martin has confirmed that both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will be starting the Austin Grand Prix from the pit lane.
After a troublesome weekend so far, Alonso and Stroll were due to start the race from 17th and 19th position, respectively. With it being a sprint race weekend the team had just the one practice session which saw Stroll carry out 5 laps and Alonso 6-7 laps after they were plagued with brake issues.

The issues continued into Saturday with Stroll being forced to retire from the Sprint Race with three laps to go with more brake problems. Now, the team has shared to social media that both drivers will be starting from the pits after making some set-up changes. The team posted:
"The team have taken the decision to start both cars from the pitlane today, allowing us to make changes that will help us to optimise the new package."
Formula 1 presenter and journalist Will Buxton also shared to social media, "Both Aston Martins will start from the pitlane today. Fernando will run previous iteration of floor with Lance running Austin update optimised for the race so team has a back-to-back comparison."
