The statement from Briatore comes after rumors of the current season being Alonso's last in Formula 1. The 42-year-old driver recently revealed that the 24-race season this year has pushed him to evaluate his priorities in life. He further added that he needs to feel fully motivated and able to dedicate himself to another demanding year on the grid.

Despite speculation linking him to seats at Red Bull and Mercedes, especially after Lewis Hamilton's announcement of his Ferrari move, Alonso's primary focus is on making the right personal decision before considering which team to pursue. Speaking to Sky Sports F1 in Saudi Arabia, he stated:

"First I need to make a personal commitment with myself to dedicate myself to dedicate a few more years. If I am willing to sacrifice again other things in life once I make the decision with myself then I try to see what is the best possibility out there.
