Fernando Alonso's 2011 Ferrari Enzo is going up for auction in early June.

According to Monaco Car Auctions, Alonso's 2011 Ferrari Enzo, which only has 4,800 km on the clock, will be going up for auction on 8 June. Unfortunately, the starting price is not listed at the moment. The advert currently reads:

"This Enzo gathers several major particularities.

"In addition to being "Scocca n.1" as mentioned in its Ferrari Classiche certification, there's only 4,800 km on the clock and it belongs until now to @fernandoalo_oficial.

"To be auctioned on June 8 at L'ASTAROSSA™."

Alonso raced for the Maranello-based squad between 2010 and 2014, before he moved back to McLaren in 2015. This is not the only Ferrari in the Spanish drivers collection, with him reportedly also owning a black La Ferrari.

Fans have been shocked by the news, however, one joked that it doesn't matter too much as Alonso could be getting his hands on an Aston Martin Valkyrie instead. It seems he would be more likely to be handed a new DB12, but here's to hoping for Alonso. The fan commented:

"What a beauty, but I guess he’s gonna get a Valkyrie which is better in every way anyways"

Another fan commented:

"How on earth can you sell such a perfection of a car???"

"Why would anyone do that ?!? I’d keep it forever"

It is currently unknown as to whether a guide price will be released ahead of the auction, however, it would be interesting to know what this ends up fetching at the Ferrari-exclusive auction.
