Haas team principal Guenther Steiner has revealed that the team will be bringing some upgrades to the VF-23 at the Dutch Grand Prix this coming weekend.

The Formula One summer break is coming to an end with the race in Zandvoort and whilst some teams have moved on to focussing on the 2024 cars, Haas are continuing to bring some upgrades throughout the rest of the season.

In the American team's Dutch Grand Prix preview, Steiner revealed:

"We have got some upgrades coming for Zandvoort, on the brake ducts and front wing, but the team is working flat out to make some modifications to the car which will be coming later on in the year and I can't give an exact timeline because of the shutdown.

"We keep on working, and there are two reasons for this.

"Firstly, to try and make the car go quicker as you always do with upgrades but also to know the direction for the VF-24, which is as important, if not more important.

"There's a lot of hard work going on, it's almost as intense as being in December developing the new car."

Another job on Steiner's agenda is sorting the driver contracts for the 2024 season. Both Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg's current contracts are due to expire at the end of the season and there have not been any confirmations of extensions at the moment. It has been reported that the team is happy with Hulkenberg's success during the 2023 season so far, however, are less certain on Magnussen's position.

Hulkenberg is currently fourteenth in the drivers' standings with 9 points, whereas, Magnussen is in eighteenth position with just 2 points. This puts the team in eighth in the constructors' championship with Williams in seventh with the same amount of points and Alfa Romeo in ninth with 9 points.
