The Haas F1 team has unveiled their striking new race suits for the Austin Grand Prix for Kevin Magnussen, Nico Hulkenberg, and reserve driver Pietro Fittipaldi.Ā 

The American team has made a tradition of bringing special edition race suits to the US races, with a palm tree design brought in for the Miami Grand Prix earlier this year and now a stars and stripes design for Austin next week.Ā

Taking to social media, the team shared the new design which features the stars and stripes of the American flag. The navy blue background has red accents with a bold star design on the leg along with stripes in the background.Ā

"Bringing the stars and stripes to Austin.

"Introducing our special driver suits for the #USGP weekend."

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on the design along with their hopes that this means the VF-23 will be sporting a special livery at the iconic Circuit of the Americas.

"Could this mean a USA livery."

"They actually look good but the design on the legs are a lil too much - and Iā€™m American" [sic]

"The dark suits just look so much better than the white ones!"

The American team is currently ninth in the constructors' standings with 12 points ahead of AlphaTauri which is last with just 5 points. Nico Hulkenberg and Kevin Magnussen, who have both signed contract extensions, are in fifteenth and eighteenth position in the drivers' standings, respectively.Ā
