F1 News: How The Dutch GP Changed The Championship
The Dutch Grand Prix brought the thirteenth race of the 2023 season to a close yesterday.
Max Verstappen drove to victory in his home race and was joined on the podium by two-time champion Fernando Alonso and Alpine's Pierre Gasly.
Here is how the race in Zandvoort changed the drivers' and constructors' standings.

Drivers' Standings
Max Verstappen further extended his lead on his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez from 130 to 138 points. Fernando Alonso's incredible second-place podium saw him close the gap between him and Perez by two points. The Spanish driver also built a bigger gap from Lewis Hamilton in fourth position, just one point separated the two champions before the weekend but there are now 12 points in between them.
Carlos Sainz has moved up the standings by two places, overtaking his Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc. Both Leclerc and George Russell had to retire from the race in Zandvoort which saw them both move down one place.
Pierre Gasly's third place finish also catapulted him up in the championship by 2 places into tenth position, moving Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri down a place each.

Constructors' Standings
Aston Martin has broken the 200-point mark for the first time, now having 215 points. The British team has closed the gap to Mercedes in second position from 51 to 40 points and have also extended the gap behind them to Ferrari from 5 to 14 points.
Alpine celebrated Gasly's podium finish which dramatically closed the gap to McLaren from 88 to 38 points.
Williams, which was previously on the same amount of points as Haas, has now built a small gap of 4 points over the American team.
