Kevin Magnussen has crashed on the 34th lap of the Mexican Grand Prix. Thankfully, the Danish driver was able to swiftly get out of the car and walk to safety.

The rear suspension collapsed at Turn 8 causing him to lose control and collide into the race wall. Magnussen, luckily, was able to get out of the car before it burst into flames.

A red flag was put on the session whilst the Haas was removed from the track and the race wall is put back into place. Magnussen is the second driver to retire from the Mexican Grand Prix after Sergio Perez crashed into Charles Leclerc at the first corner of Lap 1.

Haas now relies on Nico Hulkenberg to bring points home for the team. The German driver is currently running in ninth position.
