"Very good, couldn’t have gone much better. Good pace, similar to yesterday, which is the main thing, and a much better start to get from sixth to second," Norris recounted during his post-race interview.

The McLaren driver has been on a consistent trajectory upwards, etching his name as a consistent performer who can squeeze every ounce of performance from his car.

"It was a nice surprise. My start yesterday was not so good, so I tried to work on it and it got better, but then the second start I was just a little bit aggressive on it," Norris admitted.

Norris acknowledged the prowess of his rival, Max Verstappen, "Still happy, P2 is as good as we can get nowadays and for the time being."

Norris's account of the race details the fluctuating dynamics of tyre performance, an aspect that has become pivotal in modern Formula 1.

"There’s little bits where the tyres come back to you and you can push on, but Max always seemed to have an answer to everything, which is a shame, but fair play to him, he drove a good race."

While Verstappen managed to retain his lead with what seemed like effortless precision, Norris' performance sent a clear message to the paddock — he and McLaren are forces to be reckoned with.
