Lewis Hamilton has confirmed that he is filming a documentary with Apple, providing more details on the upcoming programme ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix.

Speaking to the media ahead of the Spanish Grand Prix, the British driver explained that he is hoping to create something inspirational for young children, likening it to how he felt watching Ayrton Senna's documentary when he was younger. He said:

“I’m producing my documentary, along with Apple. It feels strange having a camera pointing around, but it’s really about my life, it’s about my career and the journey to where I am.

“With the hope of doing what Ayrton Senna’s documentary did for me as a kid. Maybe something new and fresh, hopefully, this will be able to do that for the next young kid.”

An official press statement has been released, which reads:

“Lewis succeeded in a sport where the odds were stacked against him but where his talent shone through, allowing him to dominate the sport for over a decade. Hamilton is currently the only Black driver to race in the Formula One series. He embraced what made him different and his rise to the top of his career has made him fiercely committed to using his platform to influence positive change for future generations.”

There is currently no release date for the highly anticipated documentary.
