Max Verstappen who is recognised for his intense competitiveness on the racetrack, has recently stirred up controversy in the world of sim-racing, much to the surprise of his followers. The celebrated driver, in an unexpected move, channelled his aggressive drive in a sim race, leading to a heated encounter with fellow racer, Sven Haase. This incident has triggered a wave of shock and disapproval from Verstappen's supporters on Twitter.

The tension escalated when, halfway through the race, Haase collided with Verstappen, which resulted in a spin-out and also unintentionally took out Verstappen's teammate, Diogo Pinto. Reacting to the incident, Verstappen veered off his path at Les Combes in a swift pursuit of Haase, who he blamed for spoiling his race. The drama climaxed at Bruxelles, where Verstappen rammed his car into his rival's, causing both to exit the track.

"Sven Haase is certainly not Max Verstappen's best friend after all that," the commentator observed.

One Twitter user, expressing disappointment, wrote, "Typical Verstappen, unsportsmanlike as always," as they watched the shocking event unfold.

A second person commented, "What a surprise, Max throwing a tantrum and wrecking someone because they dont roll the red carpet out for him. He is an arrogant, spoiled little child." [sic]

A third person, furious with Verstappen's behavior in the virtual racing world, posted, "How pathetic from the actual king of F1 racing.... Bravo Maxi you really did a good job. Daddy must be very proud." [sic]

Still, not all reactions were adverse. Some fans found an amusing connection between their own gaming experiences and the reigning F1 champ's actions.

"Just became even more of a Verstappen fan," one user quipped.

Another remarked, "Really brings max down to earth shows anyone can rage quit a race."

As a result of this unsporting conduct, Verstappen was promptly disqualified from the simulated race.
