F1 News: Max Verstappen Reveals Special Helmet Design For Upcoming Dutch Grand Prix
For the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix at the Zandvoort Circuit, championship leader Max Verstappen has unveiled his new crash helmet design as he races on his home turf toward the end of this month.
A win at Zandvoort would total his consecutive Grand Prix wins score to 9, equaling the record with Sebastian Vettel and Alberto Ascari. Last year's Dutch GP win saw Verstappen wear a helmet dedicated to his father, Jos. This year though, the Red Bull racer's crash helmet takes inspiration from the Dutch flag.

Revealing the artistic masterpiece in a video on X, a happy Verstappen said:
"As you can see, the helmet is pretty Dutch, what a surprise.
"[Hence] the flag on the top with the lion."
The crash helmet's design is similar to his traditional helmet design but certain changes to the colours have made it 'Dutch themed.' It remains to be predominantly white in colour and resembles the Dutch Flag with Red and Blue 'two-face' highlights on either side that meet toward the center. The two large Red Bull logos on both sides appear quite dominant and bold but blend well with the flag theme and overall aesthetics.
While the helmet received mixed reactions in the comments, most fans have come forward to appreciate the design.
Here's a fan who's keen on buying the scale model.
