McLaren has shared a teaser to social media of a one-off new livery for the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix which will be taking place this weekend.

The team posted a video to social media of the 1974 Indy 500 livery, the 1984 Monaco Grand Prix F1 livery, and the 1995 Le Mans F1 GTR. The camera panned round to show the announcement that the 'Triple Crown Formula 1 Livery' will be unveiled at 5pm today.

"Our story. Reimagined like never before. See you at 17:00 BST"

F1 fans are clearly very excited about the reveal. Taking to the comments, one fan responded:

"Oh don’t - I might combust!!! Can’t wait for this"

Another fan posted what they hope the livery will look like along with CGIs of a black, silver, and red design.

"I hope something like this @McLarenF1 to celebrate the triple crown in #MonacoGP"

Someone else pleaded the team to use a similar livery to the Indy 500. They wrote:

"Please be similar to the Monaco one being used in the Indy 500 because livery is [fire]"

The Woking-based squad has had some incredible special liveries over the years including for the 1986 Portugal Grand Prix, 2021 Monaco Grand Prix, 2021 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, 2022 Japanese and Singapore Grand Prix, and the 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Some fans are expecting the iconic black and white livery which was the first one adopted by the McLaren team for the 1966 Monaco Grand Prix.

"It seems like we’ve got a fresh Monaco GP special livery on the way for McLaren Could it be a modern tribute to the first F1 livery ever used by a McLaren car at Monaco in 1966?"
