A series of events following the Spanish Grand Prix resulted in a sizeable monetary penalty for the Mercedes team. Much like in the aftermath of the 2022 Austrian GP, Mercedes now faces a fine for a parc fermé rule violation.

The FIA stewards noticed that Hamilton and Russell's physiotherapists had encroached upon the parc fermé area. With the team's personnel entering the room before they were allowed to do so, this breached regulations, resulting in a €10,000 fine, mirroring a similar penalty imposed during the Austrian Grand Prix incident last year.

However, the circumstances are different this time around. Unlike the previous case, where the fine was conditional, Mercedes has to cough up the full amount.
