Mercedes has shared a heart-warming moment between two fans at the Japanese Grand Prix.

The Mercedes F1 team has shared a heart-warming moment between two fans at the Japanese Grand Prix weekend as the pair got engaged in the Brackley-based squad's garage.

Fans have been going wild for the lovely moment which the team shared to social media platform X, with the caption:

"Not one but two surprises, all in one day. Congratulations."

The video shows a man proposing to his now-fiancee in front of Mercedes who can be seen working on one of the W14s in the garage behind them. Adding to the couple's excitement, Mercedes then gifted them with VIP passes.

The first two practice sessions of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend took place this morning with Lewis Hamilton putting in the 16th and 14th fastest times in FP1 and FP2, respectively. George Russell on the other hand went 13th and 5th fastest in FP1 and FP2, respectively.

The team will have the third and final practice session tomorrow followed by Qualifying in the afternoon ahead of the Grand Prix at the iconic Suzuka circuit on Sunday.
