F1 News: Nyck de Vries Reveals Impressive Career Move After Shocking AlphaTauri Dismissal
Former AlphaTauri driver Nyck de Vries has announced his next move after being dismissed from the team a few weeks ago. The Dutchman's stint with the Red Bull outfit lasted only 10 races until they decided to bring back Daniel Ricciardo to the F1 grid.
Unfortunately, de Vries waited a long time for his F1 debut. The former F2 and Formula E champion waited until age 27. Luckily though, he has found the way ahead for himself. De Vries plans to take up further studies by enrolling himself in a course at Harvard University.

Speaking to the press, it seemed as if de Vries doesn't want to rush back into racing. He revealed chasing endeavours that he never tried before including golf. When asked if the exit from AlphaTauri was a difficult pill to swallow, he said:
"Actually not.
"I had a lot of support and it actually went very naturally. I've been playing a lot of golf since then."
Talking about his plans to study, de Vries continued:
"I've never studied before in my life, in fact, I didn't even finish high school.
"But in September I'm going to take a course at Harvard. Negotiation and Leadership, a little bit of studying. More because I just like it now that I have some time and the interest to learn other things."
It's great to see de Vries choosing education over anything else that might have come across as 'hasty'. As far as his journey in the world of racing is concerned, I think his experience with endurance racing and Formula E would definitely serve him well down the line.
