The Goodwood Festival of Speed was called off for the first time in 30 years today due to adverse weather conditions. It's a sad day for those who only bought a Saturday ticket, but Sebastian Vettel has posted a video to keep people enthusiastic about what's to come.

Retired champion Sebastian Vettel is set to light up the Goodwood Festival of Speed with an array of his historic F1 cars this Sunday. Not one to stray from his dedication to environmental issues, Vettel has planned to use sustainable fuel for this event. Fans, after his retirement announcement in 2022, eagerly anticipate his next steps and this appearance marks a significant moment for the racing star.

The excitement in the air is palpable as the acclaimed four-time champion prepares to grace the Goodwood Festival of Speed once again. This time, he's showcasing an impressive collection of his own F1 cars, including the renowned ex-Nigel Mansell 1992 Williams FW14B and the iconic ex-Ayrton Senna 1993 McLaren MP4/8.

Ever since his unexpected retirement in the 2022 season, fans have been on tenterhooks, eager to see the next chapter of Vettel's career unfold. The stellar driver's journey in the world of F1 began in 2007 with Toro Rosso, where he quickly made a name for himself. Subsequently, his move to Red Bull in 2009 marked the start of a historic four-year victory streak, etching his name in the annals of the sport.

In 2015, Vettel made the switch to Ferrari, a stint that eventually led to his final professional move to Aston Martin in 2021 before bidding farewell to the track. Despite being renowned for his prowess on the circuit, his off-track efforts to champion social and environmental issues are equally admirable.

Consistent with his eco-conscious stance, Vettel has confirmed that his magnificent F1 cars will be running on sustainable fuel at the Goodwood Festival, upholding his commitment to a greener world. Sharing his excitement about his upcoming participation, Vettel stated:

"There is still a race to win. "It's great to be coming back to Goodwood after all these years.

"I can't wait to get behind the wheel of some of my most memorable cars which will be running on sustainable fuel over the weekend.

"I'm a passionate racer and it's important to me that we continue to enjoy driving iconic racing cars today and in the future, but that we do so in a responsible way."

But after the cancellation of Saturday's events, he posted the following video to his Instagram account:

Saturday ticket holders will not be able to attend Sunday's events, but the team behind Goodwood will be churning out refunds to those affected.
