F1 News: Sergio Perez Confirms Red Bull Future
Sergio Perez has put an end to all the speculation by laughing at reports of him retiring from not only Red Bull but also from F1 at the end of the current season. The Mexican driver confirmed that the existing contract won't be his final one in Formula 1.
Perez has been a victim of several rumors this season, especially about his future with Red Bull given his lack of performance. To make matters worse, reports of the 33-year-old driver seeking mental help and the return of Daniel Ricciardo upped the spice factor.

A recent report from an 'insider' also stated that Perez's contract with Red Bull would be brought to an end after the current season concludes, much before its 2024-end expiry date. After that, the Red Bull driver would announce his retirement from Formula 1.
When asked about the rumors ahead of the United States Grand Prix, Perez said:
“I'm just laughing at it. There’s nothing I can do [to stop the rumours].
"I’m fully focused on my job, but it really sums up my season - a guy says something about me and then all of a sudden it becomes true."
The big confirmation came from him after he said that he was keen to remain in F1, even after the end of his existing contract with the Milton Keynes outfit next year. He continued:
"I have a contract for next year. I have no reason not to fulfill that contract.
"I'm going to give my very best to it. I've made a commitment. But more than that, it will not be my final contract in F1.
"I'm with Red Bull and I want to stay with Red Bull, and obviously, it has to work out for both sides.
"I'm just enjoying it at the moment. I love the challenge of getting back out of it [his struggles] and at 33, I think I have some good years ahead of me.
"As an athlete, you want to maximise your career. That to me, is important, and that's my focus.”
