Another race weekend has arrived, and the problems continue for Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez, who experienced a crash during FP1 of the Hungarian Grand Prix.

This crash has put Perez and his RB19 in a dangerous predicament as Red Bull Motorsport advisor, Helmut Marko, says that Checo has ran out of spare parts for his beaten up car.

The Mexican driver's crash in the early stages of the first free practice session caused damage to the new sidepods that were put on both of Perez's and Max Verstappen's vehicle, as well as the suspension, floor and front wing.

The accident occurred just four minutes into the session, after Perez dipped a wheel onto the grass at Turn 5 under braking, spinning him into the barriers. Luckily, the team were able to fix the car by FP2 so he was able to get some runs under his belt.

Perez will now have to take on FP3, Qualifying and the actual race on the Hungaroring with no spare parts to support him for the rest of weekend.

Marko was asked about the spare parts situation by various reporters, and he had a very sketchy response.

"We have enough spares, for both cars."

Asked to clarify whether that meant Perez was racing without spare parts, Marko confirmed:

"No [he has none]."

This means Verstappen does have a set of spares left on his side of the garage.

Today will see the third and final free practice session ahead of qualifying later this afternoon. Perez has failed to get through to Q3 in the last five races so the pressure is on to break that streak.
