It's been confirmed that Sergio Perez has been taken unwell as Red Bull gears up for another weekend if racing at the Austrian Grand Prix. It's unknown as to whether he will return to race over the weekend.

A spokesperson from the team has confirmed that the Mexican driver will not be attending the track today after he was confirmed to be down with an illness, unknown to the media.

"He became unwell last night and is taking the day to rest to ensure he's in the best possible health for this weekend's race," a spokesperson said.

This isn't the first time a Red Bull driver has missed Thursday's media day so far this season. Max Verstappen missed his media responsibilities ahead of the Jeddah Grand Prix earlier this year, but was fit to race later that weekend.

As usual, we'll keep fans updated as we hear more
