F1 News: Sergio Perez Welcomes Fourth Child With Wife Carola

Some happy news for Sergio Perez.

Sergio Perez and his wife Carola Martinez welcomed their newborn daughter a few days ago. The Red Bull driver was with his family while welcoming his fourth child. Reports suggest that both mother and baby are back home and are in good health.

The arrival of the baby girl might have added some respite to the heat father Perez had been facing since the Japanese Grand Prix. A series of blunders caused the Mexican driver to earn a double DNF and as a result, he had to endure severe criticism from fans, colleagues, and commentators.

Perez recently revealed that it was not easy being Max Verstappen's teammate. We could probably imagine why because you're going to be compared to the race leader all the time, who has won the most races this year and also broke the record for winning ten Grands Prix in a row.

The high-pressure environment seems to be taking a toll on Perez's mental health since he finds it extremely difficult to balance the stress between his personal and professional life. As per a recent tweet from RBR Daily, the 33-year-old driver has been quite candid with his approach to mental health.

A highly competitive and stressful year for Perez caused him to seek a therapist. On the bright side, the counselling has encouraged him to be the best version of himself on and off the track. He said:

"Formula 1 is my sport, my life, my passion. If you are having such a hard time at work, it is difficult to be cheerful at home with your wife and children. That's why I hired a mental coach because my family deserves to have that cheerful father at home."

"Together with my coach, I started working on becoming the best version of myself at home, but also as a driver. As a result, I have found positivity again. I am now 33 years old, but I am still learning every day. On the track, but certainly also outside it. Partly because of this, I will never get enough of Formula 1. It is truly amazing what this sport still gives me."
