F1 News: Shaquille O'Neal And David Beckham To Host Sports Illustrated Las Vegas GP Package

Former basketball player Shaquille O'Neal and former footballer David Beckham are set to host the Sports Illustrated Las Vegas Grand Prix hospitality package.

Shaquille O'Neal and David Beckham have been confirmed to host the insane Sports Illustrated Las Vegas Grand Prix hospitality package. 

Club SI is set to host a three-day package for F1 fans worth $7,000. The ticket will include access to the hospitality suite which overlooks the race track from just after Turn 12 through to Turn 14 on the iconic Las Vegas Strip. As well as the incredible track views, there will also be exclusive parties, celebrity appearances, DJs and premium food and beverages. 

O'Neal and Beckham will be hosting the Saturday night celebration following the Grand Prix which has been moved to the Saturday night instead of the usual Sunday race.

O'Neal has said in a press release for the event that if the other Club SI events from other Grand Prix races is anything to go by, the Las Vegas will not be one to miss. The statement reads:

“Having attended Club SI at other Grand Prix races, I can say with certainty, when it comes to the celebration of sports, SI never disappoints. I’m excited to catch up with David [Beckham] and connect with race fans from the best seats in Vegas.”

Beckham also released a statement in the press release building the excitement for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix. His statement explains:

“I have enjoyed many great races over the years this Grand Prix in Las Vegas will be incredibly exciting. It’s going to be a fantastic night and I’m looking forward to seeing Shaq [Shaquille O'Neal] and other race fans at Club SI.”

The inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, set to take place on the iconic Strip, is projected to boost the city's economy significantly, with an expected $1 billion in visitor spending. Renee Wilm, Las Vegas Grand Prix CEO, reports that initial ticket sales were mainly to Americans, but a global crowd is anticipated. 

Essential infrastructure work is in progress to prepare the city for the race. The event is expected to attract around 100,000 spectators daily from the initial practice on November 16 to race day on November 18, further enhancing Las Vegas' standing in the international motorsports arena.
