F1 News: Zhou Guanyu Reveals Insane Austin GP Helmet Design

Details on the helmet are 10/10.

Alfa Romeo driver Zhou Guanyu has revealed a new helmet design for the United States Grand Prix in Austin and from the looks of it, it is stunning in almost every way. The cowboy leather theme represents Texas in every way.

Known to be the first Chinese driver on the grid, Zhou made his F1 debut last year. He was also the only rookie to make a debut in 2022. What stood out for him was a points finish in his first Grand Prix in Bahrain where he finished tenth.

So far in the 2023 season, he has earned 6 points and is placed in the 16th position in the drivers' standings.

The Bell Helmet sporting a leather theme is designed by KV design. Look closely and you'd still find it hard to believe that the shell is not covered with real leather. It is the 3D-ish design and the attention to detail that makes it look so real.

The crash helmet is designed to help Zhou blend with the local Texan look, as seen in one of the photos where the 24-year-old driver sports a leather jacket, a cowboy hat, and a pair of denims.

Luckily for him, he has been signed for the third year with the Alfa Romeo team which is expected to revert to its original Sauber avatar for the next two years until being taken over by Audi in 2026.

Fans have been going gaga over the Chinese driver's crash helmet design, with many even claiming it to be the best helmet design in Formula 1. I'm sharing a few reactions below:

You can't help but like it more.

Much impressed!

A demand for the scale model isn't surprising.

Alongside Zhou, teammate Valtteri Bottas is also confirmed to continue with the Alfa Romeo/ Sauber team next season.
