F1: When And How To Watch The Japanese Grand Prix
It's race week once again! The Japanese Grand Prix is set to take place at the end of the week, a fortnight after the Australian Grand Prix which saw Carlos Sainz celebrate at the top of the podium just 16 days after emergency surgery for appendicitis.
The 2023 Japanese Grand Prix saw Max Verstappen take the victory securing the Constructors' Championship for Red Bull. Joining the Dutchman on the podium last year were McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri who crossed the line in second and third position.
Red Bull encountered some reliability issues during the race in Melbourne on 24 March which left Verstappen retiring from the race. There is a lot of speculation going into the Japanese GP weekend as to whether these issues will continue for the otherwise dominant team. Mercedes also struggled in Australia with a double DNF of drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Both teams will be looking to make drastic improvements for the upcoming race in Japan.
