Fernando Alonso has spoken after a dramatic Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. The Spaniard finished P3 in qualifying behind Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc who finished in P1 and P2 respectfully after a disastrous Q2 saw Max Verstappen bow out of the session.

The Aston Martin driver shows us once again that despite being the oldest on the track, he can still take the rest of the grid to school in the potent Aston Martin AMR23.

During the post-interview, he comments on his performance:

"It has been a very good weekend for us. Qualifying was our weakness, or a weak point in Bahrain, but today the cars seem to perform very well on one lap.

"Let's see tomorrow. What do we can do from here.

"Obviously, Charles has a penalty, so we'll start in the first row of the grid so this is just amazing. "

He was further asked about his confidence in race pace tomorrow:

"We're confident. I think the gap or let's say the last round yesterday was affected by traffic but the car was very strong.

"Still, I think our strongest point on the car is the long run pace and how we treat the tyres so we should be better on Sundays than Saturdays.

"So starting on the first row, it feels very good.

We'd love to see Alonso get his 100th pole tomorrow, but with strong performance from the Red Bulls and Ferrari, this could be a race for anyone to win.

Here is how to watch the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix tomorrow.
